Professional Division
Our Professional Division Program is specifically designed to train advanced students interested in entering the professional world and preparing them for auditions with various dance and ballet companies, both nationally and internationally. We provide an enriching environment focused on technique and the art of the dancer. Our goal is to create professionally trained and versatile dancers who can achieve their dream of joining renowned dance companies.

Professional Division Audition Form
By submitting this application, you are requesting to be considered for the 2024-2025 Professional Division Program at Universe Dance School. Please allow up to two weeks to receive the audition results, which will be sent via email.
Dancers must submit this application along with a non-refundable audition fee to participate in the audition. Dancers will not be allowed to audition without payment. Audition Fee: $50.

Video Audition Requirements
Total Video Duration: No more than 5 minutes
At the Barre:
Tendu, fondu, développé, battements to the front, side, and back (one of each in all directions). Please show combinations on alternating sides.
In the Center:
Pirouettes en dedans and en dehors, some small jumps. The following steps in one or two combinations: sissone, glissade, assemblé, jeté. All exercises facing the camera.
Grand jumps: tour jeté, grand jeté, grand allegro. Only short combinations are needed.
Pointe:
At the Barre: échappés, plié relevés, and passés, to one side and then the other side, arabesque. You must demonstrate the correct use of pointe shoes safely.
In the Center: Combination of échappé, passé, and pirouette turns. For advanced students only. Please do not demonstrate anything you are not confident or comfortable performing.

Photo Audition Requirements
Please upload a recent headshot. Photos taken with mobile phones are acceptable.
Headshot:
Full-body photos: Showing various ballet positions (legs and arms), arabesque from both sides, à la seconde from both sides, and devant from both sides.
Passé from both sides.
